C&E Rentals is seeking a Lead Equipment Technician to help support and mentor our Vancouver shop team while continuing to diagnose, repair, and maintain a diverse fleet of construction and rental equipment.
This is not a desk job. We are looking for a hands on technician who enjoys solving problems, tackling difficult diagnostics, and helping develop the next generation of mechanics.

You'll work with a small shop team and play a key role in improving processes, supporting less experienced technicians, and remaining actively involved in repairs, inspections, and fleet management.

What You'll Work On:
Our fleet includes:
- Excavators.
- Skid steers.
- Telehandlers.
- Boom lifts.
- Scissor lifts.
- Forklifts.
- Trenchers.
- Compaction equipment.
- Generators.
- Trailers.
- Landscape and small engine equipment.
Brands include:
- Kubota.
- Hitachi.
- Genie.
- JLG.
- Skyjack.
- SkyTrak.
- Ditch Witch.
- Bobcat.
- Stihl.
No two days are the same. You'll have the opportunity to work on everything from handheld equipment to large construction machinery.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, diesel, gasoline, and mechanical systems.
- Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and major repairs.
- Assist with shop scheduling and workflow.
- Support and mentor junior technicians.
- Help maintain fleet quality and reliability standards.
- Communicate repair needs and equipment status with management.
- Promote a safe, organized, and productive shop environment.
What We're Looking For:
- 5+ years of equipment repair experience preferred.
- Strong diagnostic abilities.
- Experience with hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Leadership skills and willingness to mentor others.
- Valid driver's license.
- CDL is a plus but not required.
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
